After a long journey in your actor's caravan you've arrived at Castle Elsinore. King Hamlet sent for your acting group months ago. Now, you arrive to find him dead and his brother married to the queen. The castle appears covered in a reserved sorrow.
The prince of Denmark, Hamlet, stands before you, mumbling to himself about treachery and conspiracy. He notices you but does not say anything right away.

You don't know how Hamlet sees this in you but agree to go along.

Hamlet could be 23 or 18 or 30. Certainly an actor in his late thirties could play him on TV. He seems a bit distant and distracted but otherwise fairly normal.

Hamlet takes you to one of the ramparts of the castle. It is dark and foggy. Only the meager torches provide light. You see two guards, Marcellus and Bernardo, and Hamlet's friend, Horatio. The guards wear armor and appear jumpy, their weapons drawn.
"Good Horatio, how nice to see you," Hamlet says.
"If only under better circumstances."
"Verily. Have you seen anything yet?"
"No, not yet. But I promise it will come."
